The San Beda Red Lions Basketball Players training in Carson and participation in the San Beda International Grand Reunion II at Anaheim were featured in the April 20-22 weekend editions of the following Southern California Filipino newspapers: Weekend Balita, Ang Peryodiko, and Taliba.

Two local Bedans, Manny Ilagan, BA'78, and Teddy Relatos, GS'82, helped in disseminating the press release.

Manny Ilagan, who works for the Philippine Consulate, also scheduled a TV interview for a representative of The San Beda Red Lions team and a representative of the SBC Alumni Association of Southern California with Janelle So of Kababayan LA, a Filipino daily TV show.

The players of the San Beda Seniors Basketball team received their visa from US embassy today. There are 10 players from the team that won the 2006 NCAA championship, 3 from the 2006 Red Cubs team and 1 recruit from Iloilo. All the 14 players, 5 coaches and 2 officials will attend dinners on May 26 and 27 during the San Beda International Grand Reunion II - Anaheim. Register now to meet them.

This is the official announcement regarding the new Rector for San Beda College Manila, Rev. Mateo de Jesus, OSB, which Abbot Chancellor Tarcisio Ma. H. Narciso, OSB, wrote to the staff of the College. Please note that Abbot Tarsi, as many of you call him fondly, will be attending the San Beda International Grand Reunion II - Anaheim, Southern California from May 25 to 27, 2007. Also attending are the San Beda Red Lions Basketball team and its coaching staff.

The San Beda Red Lions Team will be in Southern California from May 12 to 28, 2007. The 2006 NCAA champions will attend the AIB (Abunnasar Impact Basketball) Camp from May 14 to 26, 2007 an intensive basketball training in preparation for defending their crown during the 2007 NCAA tournament.
