NCAA: Jose Rizal stuns San Beda, 79-74 MANILA, Philippines -- Jose Rizal University spewed fire from beyond the arc in the final period to score a 79-74 upset of San Beda College Wednesday in the men's basketball tournament at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. Swingman John Wilson knocked in two big triples inside the final 1:26 as the Heavy Bombers improved to 3-2 and dealt the Red Lions their first defeat of the season. The 6-foot-1 Wilson's last three in front of the JRU bench with 14 seconds remaining sealed the victory for the Heavy Bombers, who won against San Beda for the first time in three seasons under coach Ariel Vanguardia, whose feud with Lions mentor Frankie Lim occupied the "This is an emotional win," said Vanguardia, whose Bombers outrebounded the Lions, 52-43.
