The San Beda Red Lions Basketball Players training in Carson and participation in the San Beda International Grand Reunion II at Anaheim were featured in the April 20-22 weekend editions of the following Southern California Filipino newspapers: Weekend Balita, Ang Peryodiko, and Taliba.

Two local Bedans, Manny Ilagan, BA'78, and Teddy Relatos, GS'82, helped in disseminating the press release.

Manny Ilagan, who works for the Philippine Consulate, also scheduled a TV interview for a representative of The San Beda Red Lions team and a representative of the SBC Alumni Association of Southern California with Janelle So of Kababayan LA, a Filipino daily TV show.

The interview is scheduled to be taped and shown on May 14, Monday, 4:30 p.m. at LA 18 KSCI-TV.

Janelle So is well known to the San Beda Red Lions because she use to cover the NCAA games in Manila before immigrating to the US three years ago. She became the host of this locally produced daily show which started in April 24, 2006 and covers a mix of news, entertainment and information that concerns the more than 1 million Filipinos in the area.
