NCAA, San Beda reach compromise on Aljamal. Red Lions to freeze high-scorer until Final 4 The San Beda College Red Lions and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) put the promise in compromise. The school and the league finally came to terms and quashed a lingering controversy in the most quirky of compromises: it included the non-mention of the word “suspension” when it came to Red Lions captain Yousif Aljamal. The school also promised that they will no longer resort to the courts to resolve disagreements. And after a storm that, among others, threatened to wipe out a season and sow the seeds of disunity among members of the country’s oldest varsity league, this is what will happen: Aljamal will miss San Beda’s last two games. But the NCAA will not refer to him as being suspended. “San Beda sees the wisdom of not fielding Yousif Aljamal for the remaining games of the NCAA basketball eliminations,” said Fabella.
