The Red Lions are preparing for their trip to Los Angeles for training at the same facilities last year, Abunassar Impact Basketball (AIB) Training at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

22 coaches and players will be arriving in two batches. One group, headed by Coach Frankie Lim, will arrive April 30 and leave May 21. The second group, headed by Fr. Ed Africa, team chaplain, will arrive May 1 and leave May 22. Both groups will use Philippine Air Lines. They will stay at the Holiday Inn Torrance Hotel near CalState Domiguez Hills adjacent to the Home Depot Center.

Mark you calendars because SBCAA of Southern California will host the team for an informal luncheon at 1 pm on May 10, Saturday, at Grand World Buffet at 24557 Western Ave. #A, Torrance, CA 90501, (310) 328-8533, corner of Western and Carson.  On May 11, Sunday, the Association will host the team to a Magic Mountain whole day affair, 10 am to 7:45 pm,  followed by dinner at 8 pm at the Souplantation at 24303 Town Center Drive in Valencia.  The Association will be hosting hors d'oeuvres & drinks prior to the dinner at Adrian Gomez's residence at 26962 Boulder Crest Drive, Valencia, CA from 3 pm to 7:45 pm, (661) 312-2869  We will be joined by Fr. Africa, coaches & players who wish to be picked up at 5 pm from Magic Mountain.  The remaining die hard Magic Mountain coaches and players will join us later for dinner at Souplantation.

Let us show our hospitality to our visiting San Beda Basketball Team Seniors. Be part of the Donor’s list for the Saturday luncheon on May 10, 2008 and Sunday, May 11, 2008 whole day Magic Mountain & dinner.  There will be a $20 charge for the other Bedans who wish to join us at Grand World Buffet.  The Souplantation dinner is at your own expense.  The hors d'oeuvres & all kinds of drinks at the Gomez's residence is FREE to all visting San Beda guests, Bedans and wives.
